BIOGRAPHY
Sissy Mondloch is a versatile dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in Luxembourg. She honed her craft at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where she had the privilege of working with and performing for renowned choreographers such as Joss Arnott and Lizzie Kew Ross, including a notable performance at Tate Modern.
Since 2021, Sissy has been an active member of LUCODA (Luxembourg Collective of Dance). Her diverse experience includes participation in Invisible Dances by Elisabeth Schilling, collaborating with Rhiannon Morgan for the Festival Perspectives in Saarbrücken, and performing for Ted Stoffer at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg, as well as Jojo Gronostay’s Rejected and Accepted Greetings at Konschthal Esch.
In 2022, she premiered her first research project, Ongoing, at the Mierscher Kulturhaus during the Semaine de la Santé Mentale, organized by the Centre de Prévention et d’Informations – d’Ligue. This piece was subsequently reworked and showcased in October 2023 at Trois C-L and Mierscher Kulturhaus in honor of World Mental Health Day.
Recently, she premiered a new performance for children titled Moien, mir si Gefiller! at Mierscher Theater, with plans to present this work at Alt Stadthaus and tour various institutions in Luxembourg in collaboration with Fondation Eme in autumn 2025. Additionally, she is set to present a solo performance at Monolabo by Fundamental Monodrama Festival in June 2025.
Sissy also has a strong commitment to teaching and creating group pieces for the Regional Maacher Musekschoul, where she has been teaching since 2021.
Eager to expand her artistic horizons, Sissy has participated in numerous masterclasses and workshops with esteemed artists such as Akram Khan, Hofesh Shechter, Rosas, Yuval Pick, and Israel Aloni.
Notably, she completed a six-week intensive at the École des Sables in Senegal, founded by Germaine Acogny, which deepened her understanding of creation and movement, highlighting their connection to both the self and the universe.
Recently, she visited the TicTac Art Centre in Brussels and the Camping at the Centre National de la Danse in Paris, engaging in workshops with Hiatus Dance Company and Robyn Orlin.
Sissy is passionate about creating from an inner place; for her, the creative process always begins with a feeling. She is fascinated by the connection between the self and the universe, viewing dance as a powerful bridge that unites these elements.
